Go-To Girl Navigation

 Aimee Carpenter

From trading options on Wall Street to training A-list celebs like Amanda Bynes, Maria Bello, and Christina Milian, Aimee Carpenter is our Outdoor Fitness Go-To Girl extraordinaire.  An LA-based cardio trainer, a typical first time with Aimee might include a run, a hike in the hills, or an outdoor free weights session.  “I LOVE the outdoors!  I LOVE the way clean air smells.  There is something to be said about hiking up to the top of a mountain and breathing in cool fresh air while leaving behind the noise of the city, even if just for an hour,” says Aimee, who adds that many of her clients feel a spiritual connection during their outdoor sessions.

“My first time working out with Aimee was three years ago,” says actress Maria Bello.  “I was still carrying around 10 extra pounds of baby weight, and had only a month to lose it.  She took me hiking into the hills, and helped me to visualize my goal.  The difference between Aimee and any other personal trainer I‘ve ever worked with, is that Aimee brings the mind, body, spirit connection, to a whole new level.  Some days she’ll come to my house and we’ll go hiking and do weights, other days I’ll want a latte and a doughnut.  She gives me the freedom to be exactly where I’m at.”

Bev Sanders

Surfing Go-To Girl Bev has been an action sports aficionado since beginning her career as a ski instructor at the age of 16.  She co-founded Avalanche Snowboards in 1982 and greatly impacted the evolution of the new sport. After devoting herself to the development of women's boarding gear in 1995, Transworld Magazine officially recognized Bev's contributions and dedication, honoring her as the Pioneer Woman of Snowboarding. After learning to surf at the age of 44, she launched Las Olas with the desire to empower women to excel in sports as well as in life.  Meet Bev in the Great Outdoors chapter of A Virgin’s Guide to Everything.
